Gowri Lakshmi
She started writing songs as early as 4th class and used to get them recorded in her dad’s recording studio. It was through a friend of her dad that Roshan Andrews happened to listen few such songs and then selected the one he was looking for for Casanova – “Sakhiye nin kanmunakalil…” Gopi Sundar will do the background score and the song will be sung by Vijay Yesudas and Shwetha.
We don’t here about many female lyricists in Kerala, do we? So it’s all smiles to hear about this litle girl who is presently doing her Plus2 in Commerce at Bishop Moore Vidyapith. She plans to pursue a degree in music, learn sound recording and keep writing.
Her dad Harikrishnan and mom Bindhu have established a music academy called Gowrigayathri vidyapith along with a recording studio at Vaikom. Lets wait for Gowri’s song and the music release. We wish Gowri all the very best!
